| Bio: | Originally born in Ohio; moved a lot (San Francisco, Switzerland, the Netherlands, back to SF, *back* to the Netherlands, then to Boston for college, graduate school, medical school, residency, and second job (first job in DC for a year). Have lived in several parts of the US, and I suspect I am now settled in Boston for approximately the rest of time; my friends are here and my community is here.
I am straight (although a bisexual friend has described me as "same sex hug enabled"), polyamorous, and kinky. My politics and world view are at least somewhat orthogonal to those of most physicians I know; I'm a progressive liberal and proud of it. I think that it is often time to at least challenge the dominant paradigm, especially in sexual matters, because I think that America in particular has gotten things terribly wrong on that front, from a fairly bad start with the Puritans. I like to think I'm always trying to do the next right thing.
Last year I completed a trip across America on my motorcycle, which was sufficiently fun that I am looking forward to more long trips by motorcycle.
